Unemployed Single mothers and Youths is one reason to create Ndagaa Farm to table On a mission to empower
single mothers and their families through business development programming
designed to transform the lives of single mothers and youths in Ndagaa village. We train over 32
people in the village (single-mothers and youths) providing them with business
mentorship via farming of organic food and environmental education to reduce
impact of poverty in the area . As experienced single mother, environmental
educator and community developer, Shara has taken initiative on building
capacity to target groups. The tradition and legal
system of the nation embraces very little in the development for girls, single
mothers and children. With limited vocational skills, very small revenue and
support from men. The result is very minimal financial resources to sustain
their families and marriage breakup caused by poverty which keeps women to
suffer with children. School drop out, uncontrolled sex life for both the
mother and girl children is another reason for difficulty life for most of
single mothers. Our program started
recently in February 2023 when Shara was doing her informal research in different
remote villages, the aim to support needy women to earn income from farming and
other related activities.
